Most of the following are stock items and are continuously replaced. We cannot guarantee the type of wood in stock. Most of the kitchen items are finished in food safe mineral oil or rapeseed oil. We don't use other food oils as they can go rancid or sticky. Many variations can be made to order.
Spatulas are made in a variety of hard woods including Walnut, Ash, Beech, Oak and all the fruit woods. They can be used in non-stick saucepans or bowls. They have one straight edge and one curved edge to get into the corners.
Finish: food safe mineral oil or rapeseed oil.

6" Spatula designed to be used as a pair in a wok; it can also be used as an ice scraper on the car windshield or in the freezer.

15" and 17" Jam Paddles made with an extra long handle for jam making - can be made to any length as required (price on request).
This should prevent it being lost in the jam pan and reduce the risk of burnt fingers!

Horse Paddle - 13" -  for mixing horse feed made in Oak, Ash, Maple or Beech.

Honey Dippers are made in various hardwoods including Sycamore, Maple and Beech.

Bottle Stoppers are made in every available wood. They are made with rubber sealing washers to keep the air out of the bottle.
They should fit all normal wine bottles.

Condiment Saucers are made in various hard woods including Walnut, Beech, Ash, Bay and the Fruit woods. These are generally 2" to 3" in diameter and ½" to 1 ½" deep. They can be used in the kitchen for dips, sauces, salt, pepper or mixed condiments or in the bedroom to hold small items of jewellery.

Rolling Pins can be made in a variety of lengths and thicknesses, with or without handles. They are made in many hardwoods including Walnut, May, Beech, Bay and the Fruit woods.

Wooden Rolling Pins 

Porridge Spurtles are made in a large variety of hardwoods - for example - Sycamore, Beech, Apple, Ash, Walnut, Cherry, Maple and Oak.
Size 10" to 14" long.
Porridge spurtles originate from Scotland and make a better, smoother porridge than using a spoon!  Also, they are very good at mixing dry ingredients into 'wet' e.g. butter icing, sauces.
Finish: food safe mineral oil or rapeseed oil.

Sieve Pusher/ Muddler/ Pestle made in various hard woods and fruit woods. Sieve pushers are used to press fruits and vegetables through a sieve to make a puree.
A Muddler is typically used for crushing fruit or ice when making cocktails or a a pestle for use in a Mortar.  They work much more efficiently than a spoon.

The following items are made to order and not kept as general stock:

Napkin Rings are typically made in sets of 6 or 8 - although, they can be supplied in any quantity - with or without a stand. Napkin rings are usually 1 ¾" (45 mm) diameter by 1 3/8" (35 mm) high.  They can be made in a variety of woods.

Bowl made in Walnut from South Cerney, Gloucestershire.
This bowl can be used as a jam pot holder or for trinkets, snacks

Pestle and Mortar made in Cider Apple from Kenn, South Devon and Pear from Great Somerford, Wiltshire. These two woods are used as they are the most abrasion resistant English woods. They are both traditionally used for the teeth of mill wheels in water and wind mills. Pestles and mortars can be made to any size from 2" diameter upwards and are only made to order.

Finish: usually finished in polyurethane or a two part bar top plastic coating. They can be finished with a thick epoxy resin in the bottom of the mortar left slightly rough to assist grinding.

Oddments Pot in Yew from Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire.
This pot is given extra width so that it can be used to hold kitchen utensils or other oddments.
